Collaborative Frontiers
At DigiLabs, we’re excited to work together on innovative projects that push the boundaries of science and technology, and we love bringing ideas to life through creative collaboration and innovation. Have a look at our latest collaboration with the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences.
This project is an example of advancing the future of environmental bio-surveillance through cross-disciplinary innovation and collaboration.
Project Name: Environmental Surveillance of Avian Influenza in Denmark, Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences
Project Title: Sampling of Water Bodies in Denmark Using Passive Water Samplers for the Monitoring of Avian Influenza Viruses (AIVs)
DigiLabs are collaborating with the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Faculty of Health, on an innovative research project aimed at strengthening Denmark’s environmental surveillance of avian influenza viruses (AIVs).
This initiative from the Department of Veterinary scientists focuses on sampling water bodies across the country using innovative 3D-printed passive water samplers (“torpedoes”), in collaboration with DigiLabs. These devices enable continuous and efficient collection of environmental samples for the early detection of viral presence in aquatic ecosystems.
By combining digital innovation within Digi Labs with veterinary science, the project supports One Health monitoring efforts, bridging environmental, animal, and human health to create a proactive early warning system against potential outbreaks.
